Avid readers of our missives know that we’re “home town” friendly to our Native Detroit auto manufacturers. Any resident of any Metro area that depends so heavily on one industry would be foolish NOT to be a cheerleader; beyond that, though, I have many friends and neighbors who work hard and smart to do well in a devilishly difficult industry. So, we love to report good news, and do so whenever we can.

Alas, though, a pretty thoughtful article, although depressing, crossed my door today, and I share it with you…

Having personally met many GM executives, they’re very dedicated to the cause, but there are a lot of “headwinds” out there!
